Join Classical Tuesdays in Old Town on December 11, 2012, for an evening of Wine & Song. This annual benefit supports Classical Tuesdays, a free chamber music series that showcases the Puget Sound region’s professional musicians. This special evening will feature the compelling lyric soprano Christina Kowalski in a program of music by the Romantic composer, Franz Schubert. Accompanying her will be pianist, composer and conductor Denes Van Parys.

The Connelly Law Offices in the Ruston district.

A native of Germany, Kowalski graduated with a master’s degree in music and drama from the Hochschule für Musik und Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. Her voice has been described as possessing “glowing heights and warm depths” and excited audiences in the United States and Europe.

Van Parys has led performances of numerous opera companies, theaters and orchestras in the US and abroad. He has conducted national tours of Broadway musicals, and traveled frequently to Asia where he has led several orchestras.
