The Tacoma Concert Band is proud to present its first holiday concert in over 20 years with a program that is not your typical holiday fare! Holiday Traditions will be performed on Sunday, December 9th at 2:30 pm at Tacoma’s Rialto Theater.
On the program will be a new work celebrating Chanukah, new settings of traditional Christmas music, and several arrangements that were recorded by Mannheim Steamroller, the American music group famous for its modern renditions of Christmas music. The outstanding mezzo-soprano Dawn Padula will be the band’s featured guest artist.
The Tacoma Concert Band is in its 32nd season as the Northwest’s premier symphonic band. Comprised of 60 of the region’s finest wind and percussion players, it has won several local and international awards and made two successful tours of Europe.
Tickets for the Sunday matinee concert begin at $16, with substantial discounts for seniors, students, and military personnel. Order 10 or more tickets and receive a group discount.
