Calling all classic vehicle enthusiasts: LeMay – America’s Car Museum is opening June 1-3. Volunteers needed for historic event!
America has a love affair with the automobile – if you do, too, then drive straight down to LeMay – America’s Car Museum (ACM), and volunteer for the grand opening of this amazing new museum, June 1-3. To make it easier, you don’t even have to drive – simply go to the website, click on Support, download the volunteer application, fill it out and e-mail it back to: Jana.Wennstrom@Lemaymuseum.org.
ACM is a four-story museum designed to preserve history through celebration of the world’s car culture; it is located on a nine-acre campus right across from the Tacoma Dome and in the shadow of Mt. Rainier. It will be one of the world’s largest auto museums and attractions when it opens in less than two weeks. The futuristic looking facility will house up to 500 cars, trucks and motorcycles from private owners, corporations and the LeMay collection, which amassed a Guinness Book record of more than 3,500 vehicles in the mid-1990s.
The museum is seeking up to 80 volunteers for the various opening activities planned for the grand opening. Volunteering with other enthusiasts amongst these shiny beauties is the next best thing to driving them!
