Happy 15th Birthday, Grand Cinema

4 Apr

Tacoma’s art house theater, the Grand Cinema, is turning 15, and it wants to celebrate with you! Today starts 15 days of deals with $5 admission to all movies, all day. Don’t miss out on all the great offers over the next 15 days, including concessions specials and Free Member Movie Mondays (for more details on all deals, click here, or call 253-593-4494). Are our eyes going to be bloodshot after the next two weeks or what?

In 1997, through the efforts of community patrons, the Grand Cinema reopened its doors as a nonprofit theater.  Since then, in addition to quality film, the Grand has provided T-town with film festivals, filmmaker outreach, volunteer opportunities, community events and the best popcorn anywhere.

On Wednesday, April 18 – the official 15th birthday of the Grand Cinema – the theater invites film lovers to come in for birthday cake and a recognition of those who “saved” the Grand Cinema 15 years ago, and to hear from those who want to share memories about this local landmark. Go to the movies from April 4-18 and enjoy some great deals!
