On Thursday, November 15, Historic Tacoma will present a photo exhibit and tour inside one of the city’s architectural treasures, the ornate Old Post Office at 1102 A Street in downtown Tacoma. Hear about the revival of this 1910 classic as a home for artists’ workspaces, offices, event space, and the Tacoma School of the Arts! Enjoy architectural photos by Gerry Sperry and take a tour of the century-old building. The Old Post Office & Gerry’s photo exhibition will open at 5 pm as part of Third Thursday Art Walk; there will also be a public tour of the building at 6:30 pm. At 7 pm there will be a Historic Tacoma members’ meeting to discuss the future direction of this organization; prospective members are welcome. Members’ meeting is in the beautiful 3rd-floor former courtroom from 7-8:30 pm.
