And, while you are filling up your calendar with all those awesome events, be sure to block off a bit of time for these two signature events:
- Art at Work Opening Party & AMOCAT Awards
The public is invited to attend a free celebration on Nov. 1 from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Tacoma Art Museum (1701 Pacific Ave.). Attendees will enjoy appetizers, dessert, a no-host bar, music by Tacoma Youth Symphony, and stunning exhibits in the museum galleries. The event will include recognition of the Tacoma Arts Commission’s 2012 funding recipients and the AMOCAT Art Award winners – KeyBank, The Grand Cinema and Katy Evans.
Tacoma Studio Tour
Come see the spaces and tools with which 55 local artists create their work. You can ask questions and purchase one-of-a-kind creations. This free, self-guided tour runs Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., and covers 37 locations around Tacoma.
